From campground reservations to recipes to tour guides, we have listed a few free apps that might just make your next trip a little easier.

1. Allstays - This app lists military campgrounds, FamCamps, and RV parks across the United States. The app provides details for each camp like website info and local weather to the RV campgrounds.

2. iExit - Interstate Exit Guide. This app can search the next 100 exits on your route and tell you where to find restaurants, campgrounds, and other amenities. The app is free through the end of 2014.

3. RV Companion - This free app allows you to track your activities while on camping trips. It includes a To Do list, maintenance reminders, trip logs, an RV leveler, and campground data that can be retrieved any time.

4. ReserveAmerica - Search and reserve a campsite with this app. Provides reservation service and campground details in the app.

5. National and State Park Camping Guide - Get information on over 17,000 campgrounds, including national, state, and local park campsites, military campgrounds, and other public or not for profit camp sites.

6. Checklist Genie - Great for organizing to do lists, this app comes with a pre populated camping checklist and RV trip checklist.

7. Rest Area - Not a super fancy app but it does show rest areas throughout the US and Europe. Users can add stops and post pictures.

8. The Milepost Tour Guide - Sorry East Coasters, this app is for Alaska and Western Canada travelers! You can set your route and the app will tell you about attractions at upcoming mileposts and has an audio feature that reads out each point along the way.

9. Camping Recipes - This app offers over 100 outdoor recipes, great for campers.
